2012 Specialized S Works Road Shoe Fit Feedback

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2012 Specialized S Works Road Shoe Fit Feedback

Just trying to see how much sizes have changed over the past year(s) and what you wear in your brand of tennis shoes.

ie. I wear the Specialized S Works Road shoe in _____ and I wear _____ in Nike's, _____ in Saucony's, etc.

Thanks! It'd be awesome if someone with a size 8 foot in Saucony's and 8.5 in Nike's replied!

Size 48 in both

More the point the built in wedges in those spesh shoes destroy my left knee to the point I cant ride. And removing that built in wedge with inserts or opposite cleat wedges doesnt work unfortunately. Its a shame as the shoe itself is very comfortable

I'll let you know when I get mine delivered on Monday. I wear a 9 mostly these days in Nike, Saucony, Asics but at times have worn an 8.5. I ordered a 42.5 in the 2013 S-Works

Size 9 in nike, 42.5 in s works.

It kind of depends on the application for what shoe size I would pick. For running shoes i sometimes go up to 9.5. For regular shoes I usually wear a 9, but occasionally wear a 8.5

Ouch. They don't have an effect on me from what I've seen from my Specialized Tri shoes.

Thanks for all the replies. I got the general idea!

FWIW if you're still looking.

I do have pair of 8.5 saucony's and the nike's on my feet are 9's. Just received my 42.5 S-Works and fit perfectly

By "tennis" shoes, do you mean running shoes? If so, running shoes should be sized at least 1/2 larger than other shoes. Your feet swell with running but doesn't that much cycling. Your best bet is trying the Specailized on in a store. That's a lot of money to spend based on input from a forum like this.
