Travel Trac Fluid Trainer from Perfomance
I just put my bike on a new Travel Trac Fluid trainer from Performance Bike tonight for the first time. It feels kind of rough, maybe notchy or something as I spin. My old mag trainer was much smoother (but louder) is this common?

If it is this one: https://www.performancebike.com/bikes...400133__400133, then yes, that is normal. That trainer sucks. It was one of the worst purchases I have ever made.

Take it back if you don't like it or ask to try another you want a smooth operating unit.

yeah i read a ton of bad reviews on that trainer, so i purchased the travel trac comp fluid instead. It was actually cheaper than the model you purchased. Return it if you can.
I would recommend the comp fluid, but it is first trainer i ever bought don't have anything to compare it to.

Yup, thats the one. I can't return it as I didn't buy it. It was bought a year ago by my Mother for my Sister but something happened and then there were two. She gave this to me over the summer as it was sitting in her garage still in the box. Really is a shame when my old mag trainer works better. Oh well, thanks for the confirmation. At least I know that I didn't set it up wrong or something.
