Hot deals - post 'em if you got 'em.

Road Cycling ďIt is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.Ē -- Ernest Hemingway

Went on a binge today and found some good deals on brand new older (2017/2018?) gear -

Vision Metron 4D Di2 Carbon Handlebar 119.00 (Marked down from 348.00)

Vittoria Rubino Pro Clincher 25c Black Tyres 24.99/pair These are the Kevlar based ones that came out before Graphene was introduced. They also have the 23c available as well. Not bad for a pair of tires.

I bought 5 pairs. 2 for me, 2 for a close friend that is hiding purchases from his wife, and 1 as a gift to a friend that insists upon wearing bibs that should have been retired 2 years ago.

Don't you just love the view when you're on that guy's wheel? That's the one bad thing about our club kit - it seems to get sheer a little faster than typical.

The guy Iím giving them to is literally a multimillionaire, and a generous person, but a total tightwad when it comes to cycling clothing.

Do you have a sizing comparison to other brands like rapha or castelli, especially for bibs?

I don't have any Rapha kit but do have some Castelli bibs. I would say Pactimo and Castelli are sized about the same. I'm a medium or large depending on the brand/fit but always a large with Pactimo.

I can't find any reviews of this specific tire. I know it's an older version. It seems like a too good to be true deal. Is there any reason not to run these tires? I'm riding smooth surfaces and somewhat low mileage.

They are great training/off season tires. They will hold up/last a little longer than the Corsas.
The only thing I remember about this tire was the Kevlar was not as grippy as the evo that came after it. But if you are not descending hills at 40mph leaned way over with your knee out to get around the corner you should be fine. Picking hairs at this point for a 12$ tire. Pretty sure it's the best 12$ tire you'll ever buy.

That is the tire I've been riding for many years. As said, it's an awesome training tire, and it's sometimes too good. On those forever off season endurance rides that you would give anything to have a reason to stop, even a flat, they just don't oblige. You'll be surprised at their grip, and their longevity.

These tires are very good: decent flat protection, really good milage, good grip and a nice ride. At the sale price you will not find a better bargain. I would have ordered more than two if I did not already have other tires in my possession.

5-11, 180, 34 waist and a Pactimo large works well for me also for bibs. No idea on jersey.

BTW, no way can fit into a large Castelli, x-large bibs can squeeze into and need an XX-large Jersey.

Reynolds is running 20% off of their carbon wheelsets right now, which makes for some decent deals ('specially when you factor in their service/warranty - they're currently rebuilding a wheel for me after popping a spoke last week).

^^^ That's a great price on those wheels. It's weird that only one model, the R58 Disc, is mentioned as being tubeless. They don't have any rim profile pics, either, to see if the others have the tubeless center rim well.

Hate to ask, but does anyone know the weight of the R35 18/24 set? I have googled but I can not find it.
