Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Smith Optics Persist, half off, free delivery

This is the best Extra Large helmet I've ever owned. You folks with a big squash, get it.

For my giant Asian round head, Kask Mojito XL fits me perfectly, Giro Savant XL is kind of loose, and Smith Persist MIPS XL (linked above) is too narrow.

They have great prices, but the shipping to the US has been so high that it offset that. Free shipping means bargains.

For example: Fulcrum 900 wheels for $84! These are nice training/rain/commuter wheels.
Jobsworth Torque Wrench for $23
etc
Got the Fulcrum wheels- these are going to be great for to finish off the refresh.

The-House.com is going out business, they have some decent pricing on their site now. There's a 40% off coupon 'SAVINGS' that you can use. I picked up some spare helmets for the kids and some new mountain shoes for next to nothing.

Thanks! Ordered Shimano FC-R7000 50/34 crankset for $90 + tax, free shipping. Worth it just for the chain rings. (Mislabeled as "52/34" but online customer service confirmed as 50/34.)

Sorry, "Enormous Asterisk" doesn't suggest anything to me. The picture makes it seem brick-and-mortar, but the only enormous sporting goods store around here is Dick's.

This enormous one.

At storefront size, the asterisk alone is large enough to modify thousands of sentences.

In Walmartspeak they call it a "spark", not asterisk.

Probably what threw him off.

:::Looks at Lester's avatar, then the text:::

A... spark, you say. Not that you might have any sort of affinity for that particular term, huh?

At least I've learned something new today...

Regardless of where those shorts are sold, I would say that $13 for the shorts is $12 too much. Based on packaging alone, those look like they would do more harm than good on a 50mi ride.

They might be fine for 1hr ride on the trainer I suppose. Given where they're sold, maybe they're using a Rapha chamois?

Going way OT.. were these premium bikes ever launched and does anyone own one?

Unior Bike Tools on sale, most tools 25% off: Collections – Unior USA

I bought a cassette wrench (30% off), two cassette lock ring tools, and a hex Y tool.

Lazer Sphere MIPS (L or XL) for $64: Lazer Sport Sphere MIPS - Summit Bicycles

XL fits my giant round head, but not as well as Kask Mojito XL.

Specialized RBX shorts and Bibs are on sale, almost everywhere. Specialized site has the shorts for $42, the bibs for $54. Most other retailers who sell this short/bib are also similar priced for these shorts and bibs.
It's a great short, I have a pair and they are one of the most comfortable I have.
They have a longer leg length / inseam, but the fit is excellent for me. The fabric is really nice and conforms well. The general cut is great, but sizing is more 'fit' than full. I'm a 33 waist and lean legged, no butt, the Medium just fits nicely, but if I was more like my 'softer' 34-35 days, The M would not fit. So size appropriately
Leg fit and grip is great, the waist is more unobtrusive than any other short I've owned, or own. The waist band is wide and only 2/3 of it is elasticized (the rear and sides). The from of waist band is non-stretch material and doesn't dig in. Fabric grade is top class.
Can't comment on the bids. But if the short bottom is same as the shorts, and the shoulder straps are good, they must be just as great !
Undetermined how long this will be available... I ordered some more
Ride On

Twin6 is having a site wide 26% off sale. They are always running sales, but this is the current one for Memorial Day.

Get Voler quality jerseys for less with this discount. And definitely wilder prints than what Voler puts out...if thats your thing.
