Hot deals - post 'em if you got 'em.

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

That thing looks like your sit bones would fall into the holes, and you'd end up wearing that spike in the middle like a thong

I'm not sure if I'm just imagining it but it appears that Boyd has lowered the price of an Altamont wheelset by $100. I thought they were selling for $750 about 2 months ago and now they're listed at $650.

Wahoo Ticker heat rate monitor $9.00

Just ran across this. Don't personally have one but that's a pretty good price for a hr strap.

Wahoo Ticker

Dug into the website some more, there's a good chance they are knock off items, buy at your own risk.

Hey Tim, are you still hot on 7mesh? REI has some of their stuff on sale, including bibs at $140 (50% off). I don't really need bibs at this point, but I'm tempted to try some anyway.

what $140 is after 50% off? why would anyone spend that much on bib shorts. The maximum I would spend is $40 and they are made in Italy https://www.probikekit.com/sports-cl.../11678095.html

LOL bibs at all are for RICH people (globally speaking). Around here I see hard-working migrant workers (maybe Mexican, maybe from further south) getting everywhere they need to on BSOs (Magna, NEXT, Pacific Rim, etc), and I've never seen them wearing bibs.

Maybe under their jeans though, who knows.

Haha sure. I have ridden my bike to work for the past 10 years in regular pants, jeans, etc., but that was only up to a 30 minute ride.

Any ride over 1-2 hours, you just need a chamois to keep comfortable and not get any chafing. Shorts or bibs with a chamois dont HAVE to be expensive, you can find them for 15 / EUR at Decathlon in Europe, and there are plenty of cheap options on Amazon as well.

As with anything in life, if you want the fancy name brand, you have to pay more.

For 1-2hr I usually use my mtb shorts with chamois, but in a pinch I can get by with boxer briefs and athletic shorts on a leather saddle. I do own 1 bib (a company-branded trisuit I got for free for participating in an event), but I only wore it for the event and I hope I never wear it again

The photos in this link are hilarious. Looks like the guy has big Valentine's candy from one of those heart boxes tucked into his ass, and why is he sitting on the top tube and not the saddle? The last spread-eagleish pic is the icing on the cake.

I think they were $79 at the local bike shop.. and no shipping cost if you go there.. but you'd have sales tax probably

EDIT.. scratch that.. I think the $79 was for the GP4Ks and the 5000s were unmarked for price

Woot has a bunch of Oakley sunglasses at clearance prices. If you're an Amazon Prime member, you can get free shipping. Otherwise $5.00.
