Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Can you not use a USB port from any desk top computer?

Some of the reviews I read said that it couldn't recognize USB 3.0 ports (which is what all but 2 of the ports on my home PC are) for some reason and people whose computers only had them couldn't get it to boot up or be recognized by the computer. My computer didn't recognize it at first either when I tried the USB 3.0 so I switched to the USB 2.0 port. There it worked, but there was still a lag before it was recognized, so maybe I didn't wait long enough on the 3.0 port. I don't know why it would make a difference.

Damn. I waited and waited for them to drop the discount on that ****er, then they raised the price instead and I bought something else. At that $1k though... wife would kill me... might be worth it.

Nice.

FYI, PowerMeterCity also has the new price and they have a 10% off code through InTheKnow (code: ITK10) as well (not sure if you need the VIP status at clevertraining for the DCR code)

He has two discount codes. One for VIP and one for just 10% discount (on most products.....Wahoo and Garmin don't like discounts so they won't apply).

What does the VIP get you? I had assumed that it just got the 10%off code to work (I haven't found a live code for 10 off via DCR that wasn't VIP, but I haven't turned over every rock, either) in addition to a couple of special sales per year.

Getting VIP ($5 with his discount code) gets you into the free giveaways and gives you points (1pt per $10 spent on non-sale and non-discountable items which translates to 10% off on a future purchase). I'm saving my points for a Garmin Fenix 5.

Powertap G3 hubs are only $399 on Amazon right now. I've had one in my cart for a while and in the last 3 months I've been watching the price slowly drop all the way down from $600. I couldn't pass this up.

Just noticed that the G3 price drop is from Powertap. It's $399 everywhere.

Not sure how he got that price..... code is for 5% off $1,724.99.

Better prices for that bike on eBay and Amazon right now than that.

Corporate account - readily available invite codes if you know where/how to look. Off the top of my head, I know that The Vegan Cyclist has one on his YouTube review of his DB Podium.

Edit: ah, yeah, the price is back up. I did confirm the other day, though. It was under $1100 with 5% off - a short-lived sale evidently. They probably blew off the stock that they wanted to free up and moved the price back up.

Crap!

I would have jumped on that. Too bad. Thanks!
If you happen to see that again can you send me a message.
Cheers

If I happen to see it, sure, but I haven't been keeping track any more - I gave up on the hopes of a sale and bought something else.

Not sure if I'm late to the party on this offering, but, $1/can seems pretty good to me.

Ebay has 20% off code until 8pm PST today, PSPRING20. Don't be a sucker like me who learns that the code only works once per user after trying to get the discount applied on a second item.

Haven't tried because the fine print says "Only eBay members registered with an address located in the United States or Canada are eligible for the Coupon" and I just expect them to be as restrictive as possible. Suppose I could try anyway, but I'm annoyed enough to just pass.
