Litespeed Tuscany and Classic
Hello again!
If anyone remembers, I have been asking about the Tuscany and Classic in recent days. I found an LBS that told me over the phone that they had an '04 Tuscany for $2488. Score! When I went to look at it, I found an '03 with a Shimano 105 group. I test road it along with a Classic, which also was an '03 model. The Classic was going for a cool $2688. Both bikes road smooth as butter. I would highly recommend both bikes. Although the Tuscany was a great bike, it just looked a bit much like my Tri bike. I found that both bikes were a lot cheaper at Colorado Cyclist. I want a bike for long distance riding/traveling and an alternate triaining bike. So, I ended up buying an '04 Classic(very sweet pony) w/Ultegra from Colorado Cyclist. The price wasn't too shabby either. $2599! Plus some change for a set of Speedplays. And no tax!!! That alone saved some big $$$. For those that are interested...... Both bikes have very nice smooth rides to them. You would not lose buy buying either.

Yes, the Classic is steeply discounted at CC. The Classic is being discountined by Litespeed in 05 and CC supposedly bought a lot of the remaining inventory and that's how they can sell it so cheap. You never know, Litespeed may bring it back; they brought back the Tachyon.
I think either bike would do for distance. Glad you enjoy your ride.

Don't forget to advertise your bike here or in the WRBDYH thread.

I ride a 2001 Tuscany and have no trouble riding it for distance. It was quite comfortable for last years MS 150 with the century option the first day.

Basically, it has an Ultegra 9 speed group and Mavic Equipe wheels. Ritchey Pro bars. When I get it, I'll have to tweak it a bit. Maybe a set of Ksyrium Elites or Shimanos and some Michelins. A very nice ride! I just wish that this snow would go away!
