What kind of cycling shoes should i get?
I'm liking some of these shoes at performancebike.com
But I have no idea what to pick these days. Would i be ok if i bought a pair of those shoes with the clip on the bottom even though
i dont want a clip on pedal? I just need some ideas.

In theory, if you don't plan to use clipless pedals, you can choose any of them. Depending on the shoe you get, should you choose to go clipless later, you could be limited in your pedal selection since certain shoes will only accept cleats that go with a particular pedal system. For instance, my shoes would only work with a mountain bike SPD style cleat. I actually use SPD style clips on my road bikes, so it all works out, but for someone who didn't want those pedals, those shoes wouldn't work.

Why do you want specific cycling shoes if you aren't going to use the pedals? I haven't tried, but I imagine the hard plastic bottoms would be rather slick on pedals and unpleasant to use without clips.
Alternately, you could go for some mountain biking shoes. They'll be stiffer than normal shoes but still have some traction on the bottom.

You will have ZERO gip on the bottom of the pedals since they are slick plastic bottoms...
If your looking to buy a stiffer shoe with the option of moving clipless in the future I would suggest a MTB style shoe,
or even a casual biking shoe that is SPD compatible...
such as anything from www.dzrshoes.com.
But don't just buy shoes because you feel you need to fit in.

I'm wearing a pair of these:
https://compare.ebay.com/like/3008466...Types&var=sbar
And riding with platform pedals. They work fine for me.
Someone asked 'why bike shoes if you aren't clipping in?'. I found I really needed the stiff sole. Started with sneakers and my feet were going numb quickly. I just couldn't keep myself from bending my foot at the toe. I had numb and painful feet after 15 miles. With these, I can go 50 miles with nary a problem. (I could go further of course, I just haven't gotten there yet.)

You can put those pedals on your bike, yes. You can't use those shoes with those pedals though.

Yes, you can put those pedals on. It is pretty rare to see a road bike without clips, but no one is stopping you.
I would suggest these instead: https://www.performancebike.com/bikes...400937__400937 This way, you can ride without clips, but you can try clipping in at a later time if you change your mind.
Also, bicycle shoe manufacturers usually have a few models designed specifically for people who don't want to clip in. Example: https://www.specialized.com/us/en/ftr...ss-shoes/tahoe
