Surpassed 700 miles on today's spin. Pretty good, given the hazardous winter weather I've had to overcome.

Considering the inherent FGFF (Fat Gomer Fred Factor) that's impressive.

I played the guitar for 5+ hours today. Wrote a song, but it was a dud. That's ok, the last 5 songs were winners, so it's part of the process. I hope I don't start writing all crummy songs now. That would suck. I think I know where this one went wrong. Plus sometimes you can go back and tweak a song turn **** into ice cream. It has been done.

I broke 4W/kg this weekend doing an FTP test in the basement. It's some sort of milestone I suppose, but mostly it just hurted.

patentcad 02-17-13 06:50 PM

I burned 1600 calories on the bike ride today, then 16 calories playing the guitar.

Much better than you 100:1 dud/winner ratio posting here.

Four or five rides per month why bother even putting on your uniform?

I hate you. And by that, I mean, good job.

No ridley after all.....Tarmac SL4, 15.1 lbs. with pedals, cages and computer mount. Just got it yesterday and can't ride until tomorrow. Looks very nice in person. Got a killer deal(frameset only) replacing the Cervelo...(sorry Solo) ;)

Very well done, Herbie. I should figure mine out someday, but that means turning my weight into some metric number. I won't do that, because I don't hate America.

surgeonstone 02-17-13 07:37 PM

Not so sure of that. I detect a lot of sentiments out there of why not.

surgeonstone 02-17-13 07:38 PM

Some of us have to work for a living.

surgeonstone 02-17-13 07:44 PM

Now that is the pot calling the kettle black.

surgeonstone 02-17-13 07:46 PM

Yum. Love challah

The local record shop where I grew up, Wonderland Records, was also a head shop. This was back in the 70s. I only bought discounted LPs (cut outs) from them.

You can just type your weight into Google as xxxlbs to kg and you get the answer without having to do any actual math.:p

datlas 02-17-13 08:33 PM

I just checked strava. I have ridden only 362 miles this year. It should be double that, but I have had to skip about half of my rides due to unsafe roads.

OTOH I have run 100 miles this year, which ain't bad.

Dannihilator 02-17-13 08:42 PM

Went over 1100 miles for the year. Was a nice change to have a weekend free from snowfall.

rjones28 02-17-13 08:43 PM

I just checked Strava too. While I have way more riding and running miles than I usually do this far into the year, it's also way less than I will be doing in a week when Spring gets here.
