So I received my Voler order...

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

So I received my Voler order...

So I was one of the few people who had ordered the 19$ Voler jerseys that were on sale. I Just received my package at work today, so I open up the bag to check out the contents.

Inside I find my jersey neatly folded and bagged, along with my receipt and return forms.

I also find two (2) Tootsie rolls laying at the bottom of the bag. The flavors were Chocolate and Lime.

HOW DID TOOTSIE ROLLS GET INTO MY BAG?!

Can any Voler-shoppers here share a similar experience?

I know this sounds like total BS, but I wouldn't post something ridiculous like this if it weren't true. and to Nay-sayers who claim "Pics or it didn't happen", I'm not going to take pictures because whose to say I didn't put them in there? (Note: I did not put them there)

Needless to say, I ate them. I have a sweet spot for tootsie rolls, but I swear this is the strangest thing that has ever happened when it comes to things being shipped to me.

Voler always puts tootsie rolls in the bag when I order stuff from them. And yes they have tootsie rolls at their Velowear outlet store in Grover Beach.

An instrument/pro sound shop that I deal with online, Sweetwater, always throws handfuls of candy in all of their shipments. Usually Tootsie Rolls, Smarties, and the like.

Well I'll be. This was my first Voler order so I was kind of dumbfounded, but if it's a common thing then I suppose I have nothing to worry about (anthrax poisoning, lethal candies, etc).

they've been doing that for a while it seems.

https://forums.roadbikereview.com/gen...rd-155840.html

Canari customer service says they sound defective and REI says send them back for a full refund. And I just got my first pair of Voler bib shorts and they are by far the most comfortable I've ever worn. I think they may have a new permanent customer. AND they put Tootsie Rolls in the package - how cool is that?

Every order you get will have tootsie rolls and free return labels, just part of the package. You're fine. I have an order coming in today and look forward to the sweet treat.

The 2 tootsie rolls per order has been standard for several years. Nice touch.

I ordered some Tootsie Rolls and they came with a Voler jersey. It was even my size.

So do we need to go over to the other thread to read the review?

Same here, but I strongly recommend against sampling the lemon flavored tootsie roll.

Personal touches that will keep them in your mind. I have a lab that sends suckers with every order. Just a little "thank you". Looks like it's working from this thread:-)
