Carbon Handlebars....put on bar-end dampers
I needed/wanted a wider handlebar so I went with a carbon 46CM (Easton EC90 SLX3). A buddy of mine recommended bar end dampers. I never heard of this for a road bike.
Anyone use these?

Yes. It felt like I'd gone from an indy car on a washboard surface dirt road to a Cadillac on fresh asphalt, so smooth. I'd say that they realistically added .5-1.3 mph average to my rides. Make sure you get the high end carbon versions, though, otherwise you'll see at least 5 lbs of unneeded weight.
Ps- they are a waste of time and money.

The bartape on your handle bar works more effectively than those plugs... more completely too.
