Musette Bag???
WTF?? I ordered one of the new Rapha classic jerseys and they sent a "free musette bag". WTF is this?? I mean I know what it is, but WTF do they think I'm going to do with it? Do you guys carry a musette bag on your daily rides or group rides??? seriously, WTF???

I know a road race (~90-ish miles) around this area for P12 racers has a feed zone, so I'd assume they're pretty common. Maybe it's just a fun extra with their name on it.

My helmet came with a bag. When I ride with it I can't see well but motorist seem to appreciate the effort.

I'd stuff the musette bag full of snacks and stuff I like on rides and keep it with my bike gear. I keep my bike bag packed at all times - the days of forgetting shoes before a ride are over!

It's Rapha's way of reminding you you spent too much on some crappy wool jersey that you would never in a billion years wear if it said "Rivendell" on it instead of "Rapha" but it came out of the same factory.
Yeah. I said that.
Yeah. I said that.

Here's the "Florette" rendition by Emilliano, maybe at the Giro d'Italia?
enjoy...
if you have the patience and listen to it all, you'll see that Emilliano is no mean accordianist.
bene Emilliano, bravo, bravo...

You also got a nifty little pink pin with "Rapha" on it. Bonus!

First, "musette bag" is one of those bilingual redundant phrases like "chai tea" or "pannini sandwiches" that drives me insane. Second, they're damn useful and bike stylish as a bag for commuting or small errands. I also like to fold up one and put it in my jersey pockets for one of my regular group rides. I ride past a taqueria on the way back to my house and can bring burritos for the whole family.

My LBS has a bunch with their logo printed on them. VERY useful if you buy stuff from them that is not easy to carry home otherwise -- like tires, cassettes, etc.

Just curious how you actually carry it for that. Slung around the back it would seem likely to not stay and end up in your lap. I have the same problem with any type of messenger bag that doesn't have a waist strap. Or do you just let it hang in front and not worry about bouncing around.
