How much weight did you put on this winter?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

-40 lbs since October.

I had put myself on a diet and began walking during my lunch at work (along with whatever cycling I could squeeze in). This resulted in 30 lbs being dropped, which was great.

Then, I go on vacation, get violently ill, and drop 12 lbs in 5 days. I've since been able to put 2lbs back on, but it has been a struggle to get back to where I would like to be.

I have put on 15-20 lb every winter for the last 10 years.

This year I've been eating like an animal, seriously, everything in sight, and I'm -5 lb

I have been averaging 20 hours a week on the ice though

I've lost a good 5 lbs since November, despite an opulent and hedonistic parade of deserts from Thanksgiving through the Superbowl that would put ancient Rome to shame.

And I've done virtually NO exercise all winter.

Scary.

15 ish. currently near 187-189.

The running did not work out since I had a few illnesses this winter. It's time to do some serious miles early this season to regain fitness and drop the pounds.

Since Hurrincane Sandy ,just prior to winter, I have put on ten pounds. I am blaming it on all the muscle I have gained from cutting, splitting and hauling wood (fantasy)....as opposed to watching tv, drinking beer and sitting on the couch (reality).

At least 15. Possibly more. Been off the bike 6 months or so now. My son was born early with lots of complications so we spent 117 in the hospital with him basically just sitting all day.

Around 5 kg. And that is while I still do some exercise. Though it is all my fault. I get way less exercise, but also, when I don't do sports I tend to eat more. This is not the first time it happens and I will lose it all before summer even starts.

This except I ride my cycleops mag trainer every day that I cannot ride outside. No gain whatsoever also. I bet I have lost some speed/climbing ability though. There is just no substitute for real riding.

1 lb, averaged for a week.

Riding is down, but so is food consumption. But my legs are really soft and weak right now...

+1 on that, I also gained 5 lbs, and feel lucky. A combination of a new baby in September (and thus, no riding), and a month of visiting family over the holidays (and eating holiday treats), and then Chinese New Year eating could have easily pushed it up more than it did.

Put on 9 between Thanksgiving and NY, but it's gone now. I am going to try to lose another 5 before May.

15. I've been riding every day but shorter distance and slower pace. The windchill can be intense around here!

10-15, which was planned for. My summer weight is probably not sustainable or necessarily healthy. Also gives me some insulation for long winter rides. Everything still fit. Already dropped about 8 of it.
