Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

When I bought my Colnago C59, one of the deciding factors was that the C59 is entirely designed, made, painted and assembled in Italy.

I like Italian bikes, not saying that Chinese bikes are bad....just saying that I prefer Italian.

Not to mention weight. Probably the only bike where weight doesn't needed added to meet the min limit

Edit: Just looked it up - 1210 g in a 53 size. The fork's equally as heavy

Ahhhh, the poor thing, she cannor even afford to buy the proper riding out fit, no cleats or well made/fitting lycra. However, she does appear very aero.

.

I agree with you...poor young thing. But with all that long hair she cannot be very aero. She needs to shave her head.

Remember, Fignon would have beaten Lemond had it not been for that silly ponytail he wore.

Are you sure the c59 is made in Italy? From what I read on their site, that's not necessarily true and how you want to read the details.

designed, built and painted. What's the definition of built?

Yes, I am sure it is built in Italy. From the carbon tubes to the final paint job. All Italian baby.

The point is that when I go to the OPs link, I am greeted with a picture from a Chinese site that shows a bike on counterfeit Campagnolo wheels and offers the frames wholesale. There are plenty proper pictures of a real dogma that could have been imbedded (as you did)
I think the site shows a random photo for each person thaat view it. So whatever was uploaded to that site as a pinarello is shown in some random rotation. It showed me a fakerello to.

I remember a while back someone posted a white Time bike with Lightweights. I think it was in front of a window on wood floors. If anyone can find that pic and post it (I looked - no dice), I believe THAT is the sexiest bike ever.

I like the black one a little better:

But I wouldn't say it's the sexiest bike ever.

Nice looking, but needs to lose the branding on the fork and should have Campy.

I love how Shimano components operate, but they are not sexy like Campy is.

I built my ikea furniture in Canada. Doesn't mean it was made here. I'm 100% sure the c59 is built in Italy, but where is all the carbon made?

Dogma looks very gaudy to me- I prefer a refined vintage steel bike or even my Klein to anything being made today.

Nope. Colnago Dream for me. The first time I saw one, I couldn't believe anyone could make a bike so beautiful. Guess that just stuck with me.

I've got to go with my 1974 Raleigh International and maybe Paramounts from that same era and some of their peers as well.

I saw a "how it's made" like video about them making their frames once. They do everything, not going to look for the video, anyone that finds it will get a prize... a little respect
