Got a Android.. which app?

Looking for a Android app for cycling. After a quick look I see that Map My Ride and Strava are very popular.

I'm open to suggestions.

Strava.

Strava, I tried Map My Ride and it's ok but Strava is better.

THSdrummer 03-10-13 02:10 PM

I use both. I map my ride prior to riding on Map My Ride, and then I ride with Strava.

Gladius 03-10-13 02:57 PM

Strava.

I've been using My Tracks.

Don't forget Cycling Feeds.

Eff Strava.

I like Strava. My droid is about a year old and sometimes the gps doesnt update enough on Strava and looses my position. It will show me cutting off sections of my ride.

Bikecomputer Pro and Endomondo on your phone.
Bikemap.net or Ride with GPS on your comp.

Pretty good article in Bicycling mag about Strava and how it's been making people push their limits (and sometimes the law) to try and beat other riders. I stick with Endomondo as I can track hiking, running, and even stationary riding with it.

gsimpson2g 03-12-13 08:04 AM

Strava when I was on android. Now I use Endomondo on my Windows phone, and upload the GPX data to Strava to keep all my rides stored in one place.

Google Sky Map.

This.

Also Strava.

LesterOfPuppets 03-12-13 10:09 AM

Strava's been crashing like crazy on my olde Droid lately, so I'm back to endomondo now.

endo tells you how much you should have drank on your ride - which is kinda silly, but probably more useful than Strava's fake power numbers (for the PM-less).

killerRabbit 03-12-13 05:04 PM

Strava works pretty well.

macca33 03-12-13 11:17 PM

Strava on Android works well.

cheers

I use Strava and Endomndo. Each for different reasons. Both are good and free. Did not like map my ride.
