Ribble cycles no longer selling to US?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You may be shocked and appalled to learn that not everybody was(is) a trekkie.

At the time, I hated sic-fi. I'm a tad better now

It looks like they were updating their web engine and managed it a bit poorly - maybe they ship to a lot more countries now? The list is huge.

Anyway, all appears to be well.

No, but they will think of it the way you or I think of Lucy.

It's funny sad when I throw out a Seinfeld catch phrase at work, and one of these whippersnappers looks at me like some senile old uncle talking silly, incomprehensible nonsense at a family party.

I am not now and never have been a trekkie. Some things you just pick up by immersion. It's not like I was snickering about him not knowing which episode number it was or something.

Plus I get a strange pleasure out of picking on the past-pop-cultural ignorance of yout's (probably because they think I'm the one who doesn't know anything).

But we did get to enjoy William Shatner with tribbles. Worth the entry fee alone.

This thread is an example of how bad rumors get started, star trek reminiscing aside.

I suggest the OP change the thread title. Perhaps there could be a poll as to what it should be...

I once made a reference to Gary Cooper and got blank stare. Referred to "High Noon", "Beau Geste", "Sgt. York". Nothing. Don't claim any superiority of knowledge. I don't know any pop singers except for Bob Wills and Ernie Tubbs.

Unfortunately, I don't have the authority to change the title used in the thread listing, but I tried my best (see OP).

i had a conversation with someone about the Star Wars trilogy. Blank stare. This was with a grown up. How old did I feel? I swear my knees felt a bit sore after that.

I got a membership card with an offer to join from AARP in the mail on Monday. The sad thing is I've been getting them on and off for probably 8 or so years. Not eligible for a good decade and a half at least, but sad to know that I'm already on their radar.
