New bike build - Parlee Z5 SLi

10 speed Di2. Didn't want to deal with the massive issues of converting every other wheel and bike to 11 speed. Bought the Scott Premium frame, Dura Ace 9000 calipers and brakes, new stem. Handlebar, saddle and pedals from my old bike. New Williams 38 carbon clincher rear with a G3 Powertap hub.

Took the bike out for a pretty tough ride today, I absolutely love it!!!
I don't think this is too bad for a fat boy. I was solo all except 8 miles or so, most of those I pulled.

100 miles
5:36 moving time, 5:47 elapsed time.
6,806 feet of climbing
3,510 kj's

They don't strike me as any better than the 7900 calipers, but they were worth it just because they are the latest and most cool DA schwag. Ditto for the crankset. I think they're a few grams lighter.
Thrilled with the bike, it rocks, perfect for what I like in a bike. Di2 rules. Keeping it 10 speed means I can still swap all my wheels around. I'm a happy velo camper. I have two Scotts, an Addict R2 and the Foil, both bikes are amazing. Scott makes good stuff. Hey, so does Cervelo, Cannondale and Specialized, and a bunch of other companies.
Once you get over three grand, none of it sucks kid.

All I can say is Wow! That color way is fantastic. Would look so much better with 2013 SRAM Red ~. Are you having any problems with Seatpost slippage?

Nicely done. How are you liking it so far? My concern is BB stiffness. I hope to quit travelling and actually ride mine later this week.

No seatpost issues. My pal Don built his Foil (same frame) up with 2013 Red and Zipp tubular wheels, the bike only weighs 14 lbs, 4 oz.

I am loving it, best bike I have ever ridden. I notice nothing with the bb, which is a good thing.

OMG! this gotta be the nicest bike i've seen in a LONG time!
well done
i'm actually looking into getting one myself now i was initially thinking of the new cervelo Rca, but can't justify the 10K frameset price tag! i wonder how the two compare (they certainly look very similar).
how is the stiffness of the bike? do you notice any give when you're out of the saddle?
cheers!

LC and pcad - those are two of the nicest bikes I've seen. Good thing even I cannot justify buying a new bike right now.

Parlee should use this thread as a commercial for their bikes...I'll definitely be looking at them if I decide to upgrade next year.

Don't forget about Wrench Science for the Parlee Z5 SLi. If they weren't running the special they were I never could have afforded / justified this bike.
Considering the other framesets you were looking into, it wouldn't matter if this was on sale or not because this turned out to be one amazing, looking build.

Bad news, I think I sold the Zipp's so it will just have Ksyrium's on it. I know that wouldn't work for you so I guess I can just keep it.
