The FSA control center one was great, but very bulky and heavy. If that doesn't concern you, it was rock solid. I also liked how you could have it as low or as high as you wanted and still be able to angle it level. all of the barfly's, k-edge and my fliploc are premounted and so if you want it high, your computer points up, or if you want it low it points down.

Just did a 2 hour ride and the SRAM mount did it's job. It reminds me of my water bottle which holds water for my rides...it also does what it's supposed to do! Who woulda thunk?!

I just picked up two of the Garmin Out Front mounts at Performance. With their double points weekend, they're effectively $24 each (plus tax). I will use one later today, and I'm looking forward to it.

I was dubious about getting an 'out-front' mount, but having put a K-Edge one on last week, I am very happy. It makes reading the Garmin on the move a whole lot easier and looks the goods also.

I just switched from Racewaredirect model to Garmin OutFront. Racewaredirect was only 13 grams and the Garmin is maybe 25 grams, so there's a minor weight weenie penalty. The Racewaredirect version held the 800 fine, but it was slightly off-center while the Outfront is aligned exactly with the stem. Also, the little fastening bolt on the racewaredirect went all the way through and rubbed on some of my Di2 wires. They both nicely mount the 800 level with or below the bars.

I ended up going with the K-edge. I liked the height relative to the bar and the positive click as it seated. It does put it in better view, especially when in the drops and descending. The few extra bucks for better quality was worth it IMHO.

I've got the SRAM mount. Love it. Much better for catching a glimpse while out of the saddle.

ok, now that I have the 800 and lovin it this has intrigued me, for budgetary reasons I'm considering the SRAM mount above the others though I like the design of the k-edge. cruisin ebay I see the Alerobikes mount that looks intriguing because it is adjustable length, though I'm sure that adds some weight over the others and i've seen no reviews of it but it does have a variety of colors available instead of just red/black. has anyone tempted fate on that one yet??

I am struggling with the same dilemma right now. The K-Edge looks great and CNC over plastic is always better in my mind. But $40!!!! as compared to $20! I guess if you want it you pay for it!

one downside I've found with the SRAM is that the screw tends to back out over time. Lost the first one completely (the mount itself and the Garmin still hung from the bar) and caught the second before it came off. Tried some blue Loctite on the screw this time and we'll see how long it lasts.
