Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Garmin Out Front mount, K-Edge, SRAM mount or Barfly?

Over the past few years I've seen several style mounts to get the Garmin off the stem and out a bit further for easier visibility. After seeing Garmins version, it got me interested. Any preference or recommendations on which one?

SRAM has one of their own as well. Here's a video comparing the BarFly, SRAM, and Garmin.

Personally, I just use Garmin's stem mount for my Edge 500.

I have the SRAM mount. Looks ok and it was the cheapest of the 3. 20.00 shipped on ebay.

K-Edge for the position in front of the stem cap rather than ahead of and above it, the color seletion, and the adjustable length for different models. Not as overpriced as they used to be.

I have tried the barfly, FSA control center, and the K-edge....I like them all but like the K-Edge most. The Garmin mount is not the cheapest as stated above, you can get the FSA control center for $15 and maybe some change shipped off ebay.

I like the Barfly. I got it cheap when my friend did a group buy for three of them on ebay. I was going to order the SRAM mount because it was cheap, but the Barfly was cheaper.

I have the Barfly. The only thing that is "odd" about it is that the Garmin doesn't "click" into the mount. There is plenty of friction and I have no concerns about it coming loose, but it bugs me that it doesn't "click" in the way it does in the stock mount.

x2

went with this because it had decent reviews.

I'll have it by Monday so I can probably drop a line or two about it Tuesday evening as I'm planning a 60 miler that morning.

Fliploc for the win. Light a hell, sturdy, looks great and puts it flat.

I went with a custom cnc mount for my stem. It's clean and don't have anything clamping my bars.

Just got the Garmin Out-front. It's pretty robust. You don't get the click, but it seems very secure.

The new garmin out front is great for Edge series and 310/910XT forerunners.

Here are a couple other angles...
I can't remember what I was. It is in a couple threads, but I think it only weighs 12g
