New style Performance Ultra bibs
Has anyone here put in many miles using them yet? I just got the bro-deal on a pair, and they look like they'll work pretty well.

My current favorites are Pearl Izumi PRO Bibs, and the chamois feels pretty close.
I wasn't a huge fan of the older style Ultra bib, but they were ok for 50 miles or less. These look better and friends at the shop are impressed by the new style so far.
I'll update this tomorrow after 60-80 miles hopefully.

How's the compression? My pro shorts compress nicely but unfortunately they're shorts and I only wear shorts on short rides now... I'm a little tired of how the PI clothing fits differently depending on which model line you get. Elite... loose. Pro, fits well. I really liked my old ultra sensor shorts, the elite in r cool ones are OK and the pros are good.
I have a set of Giordana Laser bibs (actually, 2, and a pair of the forma red ones too) and I like 'em better than the PI Pro in terms of both the fabric and the chamois (and the fit is similar... a bit more snug), and they are usually available for less than the PI bibs if you can find them at competive cyclist or chainlove or something like that.
I wouldn't mind finding something equivalent for less money for those short mid-week rides though.

We'll see how it goes tomorrow, but these feel much like my PI PRO bibs compression and fit.

I never had the same problem with the legs riding up, but you may have purchased the wrong size for you( they use the fat American sizing scale).

I have a pair and have put about 400 miles on them and I really like them. Imo they're so much better than the old style Ultra's. I really like the feel of the fabric and the chaimos is very comfortable. The material is very similar to the PI bibs imo I will definitely buy another pair.

Seems like these have been going through major changes each year after a few years of minor changes. My 2011 Ultra II's are nice, but I like the thicker material - better compression. The sizing is weird though. Usually a tweener, I decided to go smaller rather than larger. This means I now have fat bibs and summer bibs. They are well-constructed, and I only wish I needed bibs now. Nashbar had a fat sale on Santini, my favorites. Supple, silky smooth and a great chamois. If the new Ultras go on sale, like they usually do in spring, I may pick up a pair.

I bought a set at their new store opening sale because they were really cheap. They are excellent for the price but not as good as higher end models from other manufacturers. They do run big. I really like the jersey though with the tight compression sleeves.

I just finished a 72.76 mile ride in high 80 degree breezy weather, and have no complaints with these bibs. They seem to be a bit longer than PI Pro bibs(a good thing for me), and seem truer to size than the previous Performance Ultra bibs. Normally I wear a medium PI Pro bib + small Performance Ultras. This pair of small bibs seems a bit tighter at the cuff, but is a very wide flat band without grippers/ elastics, so it works just fine.
Overall, I'm very happy with them. The only remaining question I have with them is durability, and only time will tell.

I bought these as well based on recommendations from the shop. Not many miles on them yet and not much to compare them too, but so far so good. They did bunch up in the front once and I had to kind of stand up and readjust things, but everything fell back into place rather quickly.
I get to ride to work again tomorrow, but I'm going to try the $20 cheapies I just got from nashbar and see how they do.

I have some Nashbar bibs and will never go back for more. They serve as under-tights or shorts bibs. The pad in the front is woefully inadequate unless one likes his junk on display. I mean not even close. Pictures cannot show unless you go to the site to magnify that, ahem, area. The chamois isn't bad, but the additional padding up front was forgotten altogether.

Haha, I thought for $20 on clearance I'd try them. I'm trying to work 3 days a week and thought my coworkers might be a bit disgusted if I wore the same thing everyday.

Don't get me wrong, they are good enough, but under some other garment. They also run about a size big. I wear L/XL and the L was baggy on me.
