Finally getting the computrainers setup!

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Finally getting the computrainers setup!

Everything is finally in and getting setup over the next week. Just have to finish the wiring, lay the rubber and we're ready to roll. It's a shame we couldn't get it done over the winter, but it is what it is.

The system consists of four computrainer pro trainers. The bikes are the new 2013 powerwatt trainers with Ultegra 6700, Rotor 53/39 cranks and an 6700 11/25 cassettes. These trainers are pretty slick, fully adjustable from 48cm to 62cm although I don't know anyone that rides a bike that small or large. The handlebar/seatpost module can be swapped out for a time trial module we didn't spring for that option. Maybe next year.

Yeah. Unless you're in the southern hemisphere, you're 180 out of phase with the seasons.

Maybe if you offer a super fat discount people will come and fall in love with your setup so in the winter they will naturally flock back!

Rotor and Ultegra on dedicated trainer bikes? Nice.

I'm happy to say this setup is private for personal use only.

We tried tiagra and 105 previously and in my opinion the brifters are not durable enough for this purpose.

Here it is fully complete. It was windy as hell here yesterday so myself and a few friends beat the hell out of them for a couple hours. Sure beats suffering alone in your basement. Now I need to get a decent sound system. My tiny portable speakers sound like crap in such a large room.
