Achy breaky legs
 

When I'm going hard my lower legs ache. It's a deep ache - feels like it's in the bone. It's not new; has always been this way; many years, regardless of fit/bike/etc.

Never bothered to ask other riders if they feel this. ?

Only when I have really really tired legs do I get a hurt like that. It is always limited to just above the knee in that teardrop muscle (vastus medialus). Crazy how much and how deeply it hurts there sometimes but it goes away with rest, or oddly enough with more time but less effort on the bike.

I would entertain the possibility of a vitamin or calcium deficiency in your case. I just went through this with my Dr. and have felt a difference in recovery and performance since zeroing in on getting proper vitamin and mineral intake.

Pee less, sleep more, you'll be fine.

I dunno. Doesn't sound like anything I've experienced, and I certainly get sore legs from riding...
