Parlee stolen in Oakland

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Parlee stolen in Oakland

Please keep a lookout for this bike. It was stolen from my friend's garage this morning. PM me with any details. Thanks.

It has DA 7900, Reynolds 32 tubulars, and a Garmin.

If your lucky you will find it in some pawn shop where a scum bag sold it to fuel his next high. I hope you find it, nothing wrong with taking a cruse down san pablo ave and looking in some windows. Richmond and el sebronte (spelling, I have not lived in the area in 10 years) have some pawn shops that are know hustling areas.

Does your friend have home owner's insurance? Seems like something stolen out of the garage would be covered by that.

Your homeowner or rental insurance should cover this since it is personal property. How the hell was it stolen, did they break into the garage or was the garage left opened for them to take?

If the thief was into bikes at all he'd part out everything and sell by pieces.

But as others said, I he/she wanted to cash in on the stolen goods, then pawnshops, CG or EBAY would be the best places to check.

that thief has a good eye, its hard to spot any name badges on it to identify it as an expensive bike.

First posting too.

What's up with that??

Back on topic, I hope OP's friend got his bike back. Having your bike stolen sucks big time.

Man that's a cool looking bike, even without any stickers. I wish someone would just invent bike alarms, you know like the ones for cars. Put in a code and when armed, and detects hostile intents its goes off and send flares or something...

Ill be on standby in case the thief came all the way to FL, but it has been quite sometime now and have to ask if you've retrieved your stolen bike yet?

Yeah, I know it was an old post, I was just remarking that the thief knows his (her) stuff as this Parlee is very low key (apart from the DA 7900).

Haha

Anyone that steals a Parlee should be struck down by the Karmatic Bicycle Gods.
(I have a black Z5SL so I'm biased)

wheels and components stand out and serious bike thieves care a lot more about that than frame.
