Masi Speciale Corsa (2011)?

Does anyone have any experience with this bike? I'm a beginner cyclist who plans to do some serious distance riding. I basically rode my previous bike, a Walmart special, to the ground, so I know I'm serious about it. Now I want to upgrade, but I have a limited budget. I'm a shot guy at 5'4", so finding a used bike that fits me is somewhat difficult. I found a used Masi Speciale Corsa in very good condition that I'm thinking about buying. The seller wants ~$500, but I think I mgiht be able to get it for less. The only downside is it has a steel frame. I can't find how much it weighs online, except for one thread here where someone said it weights ~25 lbs and everyone was incredulous.

So should I jump at this even if it turns out to be 25lbs, or should I wait. Has anyone here ever owned this bike? Here's the specs: http://www.bikepedia.com/QuickBike/B...e#.UW2vjsrJPZg

Thanks!

i have 2, i bought one in 2011, then in 2012 i walked into my lbs and they had another on display on sale so i bought it....mines a 60cm it weighed 26.5lbs with everything shown in the picture, watterbottles, saddlepack with 2 spare tubes c02 and multi tool, and specialized armadillo tires...I got into so many accidents and spills with this bike, its sturdy so you dont have to worry about it.
I LOVED the bike. both frames are hanging up on the wall, i took the components off to sell them so i can get a new groupset. The frame its self with the bottom bracket weighs 8 lbs
being that my bike size is the biggest they make, and yours would be significantly smaller yours would weigh less, plus without having the saddle pack and the reenforced armadillo tires

Thanks so much for the reply; you're actually the guy I found when I searched here for info on this bike. The thumb shifters aren't too bad? (I guess it doesn't matter for me because anything with a Tiagra or better is likely out of my price range for now, but it can't hurt to ask)

No problem, I like them a lot. You'll get used to them, I did to the point where I want to get a campagnolo groupo because they have the same shifters
