wiggle or probike kit order problems

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

wiggle or probike kit order problems

I recently read about somebody getting charged a second time for a wiggle order. Now, today, I received 4 conti 4000s 23mm tires I never ordered. The order originated in Belgium and was then shipped to a person in Chicago. I also made an order to ProBikeKit so it's possible they are involved. It may be somebody has one of those two companies data...I don't blame anyone in particular at this point but now I have to go through my credit card charges.
Shame they are 23mm...not my fav .

How did it ship to Chicago and then up to you? Weird.

Somebody tried to run my credit card # at a Lucky Jeans outlet in Texas this week... oh, about 7 times. New card's already on the way.

Does the package and associated packing list or invoice not indicate who the shipper was?

I've only twice ever had any issues with any of Chainreaction, PBK or Wiggle.

In one instance I mistakenly hit the confirmation button a second time while it was processing. I followed up the second confirmation e-mail with a reply and it was corrected within the same business day and before the first order shipped with no consequence to me.

In the second instance an order was double shipped while I was only charged once. I contacted them more than once and when they could get there act straight for return shipping at their expense, I ended up getting to keep the extra goods at no cost to me whatsoever.

I ordered a pair of bike tires from probikekit, but received no email from them, whatsoever - not even an order confirmation. contacted them twice about my purchase, no response. I started a dispute in paypal dispute a week ago, no freaking response... just called paypal to escalate this into a "claim". . . what's the deal???

btw. I ordered a pair of carbon mtb shoes from wiggle (dhb m2.0c). They're supposed to be 980g, but stiff, comfortable and durable. At least I've gotten responses from them about my order and questions about shipping... 8-10 days they tell me. Do they have a warehouse in the US or what? I don't think international takes 8-10 days.

Chainreaction usually is five days to Canada. Pbk, four weeks.

I've ordered from Wiggle (conti tires and tubes) and Chain Reaction (Sidi Lasers) in the past month and both were received without a hitch. Its been a while since I've bought anything from PBK, but never had any problems in the past.

There have been some weather related delays in the UK of late. That usually means a shipping back log which means an extra day or two for delivery.

Two purchases from PBK in the last month. Both shipped right away and received to DC in about a week. No issues at any stage.

This is why I use Paypal whenever it's an option like with PBK. The retailer never sees your credit card info.

Vendors like PBK and Chain Reaction Do Not see your credit card info either. The transactions are processed through a 3rd party where the cc info is encrypted. They may have other personal info such as address and phone numbers but cc numbers are not stored or seen.

Suggest changing PW's to the CC account of Paypal someone has access to some of your info, this happened to me not to long ago with another vendor, bought from my account and was going to ship to someone else taken care of quickly with a phone call.
It may not be fancy but it gets me were I need to go.

Never an issue with PBK or Wiggle. I usually get an order confirmation email seconds after ordering. A dispatch notification used comes in about 24 hrs later.

ChainReaction is the fastest for sure as far as shipping times go. I don't know how they do it.

Zero problems with PBK, sometimes customs takes a look, but no issues with orders, product accuracy or CC issues.
