New bike advice - cannondale super six 3 ultegra

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New bike advice - cannondale super six 3 ultegra

Hi All,

I've been riding a planet x carbon pro for the past 3 years and have felt really good on it, but the time has come to finally upgrade and I have my heart set on the Cannondale Supersix 3 ultegra: http://www.cannondale.com/gbr/2013/b...crankset-28416

would be really interested to hear from anyone else that has ridden this bike and your experiences or anyone with a general opinion about it

I just bought that bike, overall I'm pleased with it, climbs great, smooth ride and very responsive. My previous bike was a 07' Madone, I test rode a CAAD 10, Colnago CLX 3.0 and a Synapse, the Supersix was the best fit.

Test ride it and other models and go for the best fit imo.

Got a 2011 Hi Mod Supersix. Rode a Specialized Roubaix before that. No complaints at all and would definitely recommend the bike.

Looks like a Synapse with a taller head tube may have actually been the "best fit." Just sayin.

Negative, test rode a Hi-Mod Synapse and the ride wasn't to my liking. Soon I'm going to flip the stem and then it'll be perfect. Just sayin'.
