Looking to buy first road bike, help needed
 

Hey I'm a 20 year old college student at Virginia Tech looking to buy my first road bike. I'm looking to use this bike to commute to classes and just ride around explore Blacksburg. To be honest I don't know much about bikes at all, but searched craigslist in my area to see if I could find a solid deal. I cam across this one and I was wondering if any of yall could help me out by letting me know if this would be a solid purchase for my first bike and if the price is fair. I wan this bike to last me my four years at school.

You posted in SSFG, got a negative response, and then posted it here? You seem to really want to buy this bike, so buy it. There are much better deals, especially if you are looking for a SSFG, but in the end it's up to you.

$275 for an old-azz fixie? I say no. OP, this is the road bike forum, not the fixie forum. You want a bike for college, get a cheap hooptie because it is going to get stolen.

I'm sure the bike is fine...but it's overpriced.
