Ibis, still a good brand?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ibis, still a good brand?

They had some good cred back in their steel and pivotless full suspension Ti days.

Now I see they only deal in carbon. Looks like the same head honcho but how are the frames these days? FWIW, IMO, the Silk looks nice.

The LBS that I deal with has them. I trust the guys a lot and they stand behind their products like I've never seen. I test rode the silk and liked it very much but the geometry just wasn't what I was looking for. I liked the cool factor though and their reputation in the industry is certainly a strong one

I have worked for an Ibis dealer. They aren't the company that they once were, but it's still a very nice product.

I like how they have a boutique name without the boutique price tag. Kinda hard to not consider the brand for a carbon bike.

Never rode any of their road bikes, but I did want a Spanky in the middle late 90s. I rented a CF Mojo - full suspension all mountain, mountain bike. It was really quite exceptional. I love my cross country Tomac but the Ibis was really very nice and I would seriously look at one if I were in the market for a new mountain bike.
