Stolen bike returned with note and coupon for free Lava Crunch Cake

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I wish all thieves behaved this way.

I before E except after petty larceny, that is the way we learned it in grammar school.

I love that you have to buy a Domino's Pizza to get the "free" reward. This may be a new thing that Domino's is doing to drum up business. I bet we see a rash of returned bikes with pizza coupons on them in major cities.

That Lava Crunch Cake™ better be damn good to make it worth choking down a Domino's pizza.

especially on 4-20, but you know this person/theif is a fellow cyclist by how they wrote it. As Jeff the cyclist might say Cyclists are better than everyone, even if they are theives

On closer inspection I think it's fake. The coupon appears to be valid from Mar. 1 - April 15 2011

I used to ride in criteriums where similar coupons were offered up as sprint primes.
There, as here, the real value is in the victory (beating your buddies/getting one's bike back).

Seattle has banned Domino's Pizza. The cardboard content was too high.

Yeah, those are pretty much cheap chocolate pastry heaven. Horrible for you, but if you've got PBR tastes then it's haute cuisine.

That was actually an experiment in "Going Green™" on the part of Domino's. Cut down on cardboard usage by baking the box right into the pizza.

Wait, can guys not get "white girl wasted"?

You know this is a scam to get you to leave your house. They'll burgle you cold while you're choking down that pizza.

I am not sure that wobbling home, drunk, on a stolen bike, with your skirt up around your waist, is considered cycling.

Beats the hell out of getting behind the wheel/getting in drunk friend's car, which sadly is the norm.

All I have to say is that while I was growing up the last 4 digits of my phone number was 9711 and dominos was 9771. Often in their ads, the tabs on their sevens weren't very big and often angled (and at least once they outright printed our number), so we'd get calls for pizza all the freaking time. My dad used to have a bit of fun with them but I just got pissed when we'd get calls at 2 am for pizza. We refused to ever eat any of their pizza, so I think college or after was the first time I'd even tried their pizza.
