My foldable bike rack (in progress)
After searching online and not being satisfied with what's out there I decided to create my own. Still have some modifications to do. Still needs paint but so far I am happy with it. Holds 4 road bikes, just have to place them front, rear, front, rear and I'm thinking about adding a modification to allow for mountain bike tire sizes. Also I have plans to use straps or a type of strapping to secure the bikes more. Lightweight but sturdy, foldable for easy storage and a multi-application rack are my goals. Stay tuned for more.

Clever design but flimsy material. I know this is a design exploratory so I'm not being negative.

I made one similar. It isn't foldable though. I made mine out of 1" schedule 40 pvc and it is plenty sturdy. I dont use it in my truck, just as a rack in the garage, but I like it ok. cheap and made in under an hour and can store three bikes in the garage. doesnt get much better than that.

i'll post one if i get time this weekend. I never took a pic because there are so many on google images just like it. I'm pretty sure it's the most common plans available. plus i only have one mediocre road bike in it and a k-mart kent that my wife rides sometimes.... lol
