Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Chainring BCD 144 for 3/32" 9/10 speed chains

Is it possible to get a chain ring (5 bolts) in BCD 144 for 3/32" 9/10 speed chains?

I want to use a Miche track crank on a bike with 10 speed SRAM cassette. I will prefer a 50t, 52t or 53t chain ring.

Is this possible? .....and where can I get it?

If not......do you have a suggestion for a good crank + chain ring (BSA, ISO square) with only one chain ring?

I would be surprised if you found a 3/32 in 144BCD. It may be out there but it is certainly rare.

I am searching the web in the moment to see if I can find something. It seems the older Campagnolo Record chain rings are 144 BCD? https://www.ebay.com/itm/Campagnolo-N...item53f687fec1 could such a ring be used? ...there is also the "thickness" of a tooth ....if it fits a 10 speed chain.

It appears so but, as you mentioned, will it work with the narrow 10spd chain?.

Yes, that is the question in the moment. I also found that Blackspire makes some BCD 144, 3/32". But again.....there is the question about the narrow chain. The next is to find a dealer which sells them. Many has Blackspire......but not the BCD 144, 3/32" rings. https://www.blackspire.com/qs/product/83/5948/263229/0/0

Yes, Campagnolo Record and Super Record rings were 144mm BCD, and many other manufacturers also made cranks and rings in that pattern. There are usually boatloads of them on eBay, many quite reasonably priced:

That is good so I can use my Miche track crank for road use. I only need a confirmation that the 144mm BCD, 3/32" rings can take a 10s chain (e.g. a SRAM PC 1071).

maybe ask the question of whether or not a Campy 3/32 chainring will work with a the 10 speed chain that you plan to use, as has been mentioned.

Yes I have asked this question to an ebay seller and also to the guy from Finland in this forum. In the meantime I got answer from Blackspire and their 144 BCD 3/32" chain rings are made for 10s chains. They also provided my with a company name in Europe (Holland) where I should be able to get it.

Vuelta USA also makes 3/32" 144 BCD rings -- not sure if they're 10-spd compatible though.
