Motorcyclist hits cyclists.

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

They're collisions, not accidents.

The motorcyclist had a duty to avoid running into traffic ahead of him, and he acted certainly in neglect of that duty, if not in willful disregard of it.

You operate potentially lethal machinery, you have to take responsibility for it.

**** happens doesn't cut it.

I saw a motorcyclist just after he was cut in half once on the FDR drive in NYC many many years ago. he had some kind of accident with a car and came down on the guard rail splitting him in 1/2

I wanna see more of that girl with her pants hanging half way off her butt.....

I used to race motorcycles. it appears to me that The rider on the motorcycle saw the cyclists, panicked and left off the throttle through the corner which drifted him to the outward corner. If he would have stayed on the throttle he would have kept his inside line and would have been fine. This of course is assuming that his path was clear and there wasn't other cyclists or obstructions we didn't see further down the road that also would have kept him from carrying his line. Inexperienced rider. That's scary to think that it can happen to any of us.

^ I think the motorcycle was perfectly capable of navigating the corner.

That's why I advocate all cyclists only ride on sidewalks or MUPs!

I think he was capable until he was came around not expecting the unexpected. letting off the throttle to think what would be safest to go around them but it happened so quickly for him that drifted outward and it was all to late.

If you have seen the video from the friends' bike following him...they buzzed other cyclists prior to this corner...so argument can be made cyclists on road should have not been a surprise.

The rider was at fault and he shouldn't have taken the twisty road at a excessive speed when he hadn't any significant riding experience.

He didn't lift until he was right on their asses, listen and watch again. Not only that if you lift when your leaned over you loose some of your gyroscopic force and the bike will want to fall over more, if you add throttle during a turn THAT will make you go wide or if you brake the bike will want to stand up and also make you go wide unless of course you loose traction. I don't think he saw them until the last split second or (I didn't see the video that was removed) if he was buzzing cyclists on the way up he certainly misjudged this buzz by.
