Ironically, we had ribs last night as well. (Pork ribs are the de facto standard). The Mrs seasoned them with a rub and they marinated overnight as well. I cooked them the next evening and finished them off with a new sauce recipe she recently discovered - a sweet & spicy jelly sauce concoction. I think I prefer a more traditional, spicy tomatoey sauce. It was alright, but nothing to rave about.
I hate experiments when they don't come out as well as the standards. Darn chefs, always experimenting.
Cooked in the frikkin' oven, I have no time for fooling around with either wood or charcoal grills for a routine dinner. Parties, yes. Routine dinner, no! Getting the temps to stay low enough to slow cook ribs so they get tender is waaaay too much trouble on a grill.
For me a grill is good for pork chops, steaks, fish, etc - stuff that can cook fast. Ribs and chicken are way too much trouble on a grill.

Absolutely correct, sir. I will hurt somebody over some pernil.
But in terms of terminology, you're likely correct, even though this one is contradictory.

R.E.M. ceased being relevant to me right before Monster. Everything before that was unique and awesome.
Other bands that have outlived their relevance:
Aerosmith. Rag Doll was decent only because it had a slide in it, but this is the only example I can think of after Done with Mirrors. Then Tyler on Idol. Stop. Just stop. Its embarrassing.
Van Halen after Diver Down. 1984 had some good stuff, but was the beginning of Pop Halen.
The Stones. Should have stopped after Tattoo You. Undercover and Harlem Shuffle were ok, but it was time to stop.
Bands that timed it right:
Zeppelin. Their reunion concert proved that they still had it, although Bob's voice is never, ever going to hit those notes like he did in the 70's. Bonzo passing on was a good time to break up.
T-Rex - see 'Zeppelin'.
Bands that should have kept going:
The Screaming Blue Messiahs
The Doors (Ian Astbury did a damn good job of channeling Morrison, but that was 30 years post-Morrison)
Mott the Hoople
The Cult
The Stray Cats (BSO was a worthy successor)
Bands that had one incredible album then got worse with each subsequent album:
The Smithereens
Joe Bonamassa
Discuss.

Ribs go in the smoker, for about five hours at 230 - 260. Gas grill is heresy.

Antibiotics could cure 40% of chronic back pain patients
Interesting.
I'm taking an antibiotic to see if it will treat my joint inflammation.
