Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Nice garden you have a green thumb. Or have you been getting a lot of rain.

Thanks mac. I hear asparagus is like that. You have to check it daily otherwise it will get away from you it grows so fast. But I've never seen asparagus so thick, jeez . . . Jack and The Beanstalk briefly crossed my mind.

What advice for fending off lions? a bit more interesting than the usual dog deterrent stories.

Dropping by for first time in over a year...This baby thing really cuts into the bike time, and even more into the "do nothing on BF" time. I was inspired because I am going up to Chester NY for work next Tue, I hope to see pcad riding along the road.

First exercise I've gotten all week. Being cooped up like a caged animal sucks. I am, apparently, an outside cat.

I was very surprised to set a 60 minute record. Happy about that.

Went off the front of the Thursday night worlds and stayed away with two others this evening. I may never win another friggin' bike race, but I've come a long ways from coming in here to whining about getting popped shortly after the warm up part on that ride.

Hey heckler,

Do you use diapers on your baby? I learned that it is hip in New York to not do so.
