Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

LC, my good sir, you rock my world and I will order four as soon as I get my credit card addresses updated.

I trust those are good? My problem might have been that I was looking strictly at Conti, for no particularly good reason other than habit since I first started riding.

I buy Q-tubes from QBP, they are usually re-boxed Kendas. I have never had any issues with them.

I don't believe that it is live, but the recording sounds better than some of the previous ones.

It's not bad if you have one broken window to fix, but we're in the process of reglazing every window in the house. The multi pane ones with muntins are the biggest pita.
Reglazing windows sucks, replacing glass is hard avoid. I know of only one place left in town who will cut glass to size. Are you cutting your own?

Oh, I forgot - in addition to the exciting root extractions yesterday, a couple gave me a sincere (enthusiastic, really) thumbs up and "good job!" after I cursed out an old lady. Fun times.

Local hardware store cuts the big panes, I do stained glass work and have tools to cut the little panes from the bigger broken pieces. I don't keep a lot of big pieces of clear glass around.

I would never use the excuse of riding with the wife for my slowness.

It might be a futile search. Surly was expanding out of state a couple of years ago, but their popularity exceeded their capacity so they pulled back to serve the home market. They're building a bigger brewery to support expanded markets. So in the not too distant future, it should be much easier to get.
