ADVICE??? A used Trek 2200 or a new Fuji Roubaix 3.0?
Hey there, I am a fairly new to road bikes. Last year I commuted 22 miles a day, 5 days a week for about 3 months on a late 80's Centurion Le Mans. An ok bike that I bought at the Community Cycling Center in Portland. Frankly, I think I over paid ($500ish) and the bike is just a little to big for me. It's warming up and I'm ready to ride again but want to pick up a modern bike. I've got two good options and was hoping for some opinions that might nudge me one way or the other.
Performance Bikes has a 2012 Fuji Roubaix 3.0 for $699 but I found a 2003 Trek 2200 with a mix of Shimano 105 and Ultegra parts for $600. I think the derailers and what not might be better quality on the trek but it's 10 years old and frankly I don't know enough about bikes to know which would be better. Any advice? Thanks.

That Trek's 10 years old. Unless I know for sure that the bike's been babied, I'd go for the new Sora.
Look at it this way. If the old Ultegra or 105 levers wear out next month, you'll be replacing them with Sora.

To further complicate my decision they also have a 2012 Fuji Roubaix 2.0 for $850 and a Fuji Roubaix 3.0 Performance Exclusive for $850.

Being new, you'll never tell a difference between any new group's shifting capabilities. All you'll lack is being able to upshift in the drops on descents (I've read proper technique is to stay on the hoods anyway and save the drops for flats). If I were already comfortable with spending $600, I'd probably spend the extra 200ish for a full functioning drop shift.. if the difference were like 4-500 I'd definitely be able to live with pre 2013 Sora.
You're new, you put in about 100 miles a week or less. Sora is all you need.
edit: PBK only has the 2.0 in 46cm..

dtrain, your Roubaix looks really nice. 6600 is a pretty safe bet, being newer and just plain working better than that old 9-speed stuff. If my wife wasn't complaining about too many bikes, I'd want it for myself.

I'm offering that lightly-used full Ultegra 6600 RC for $100-150 more than the full Sora 3400 3.0 from Performance (depending on how you account for points back, etc.). Clearly there are new bike things (like a warrenty) that I can't offer, other than a nicer bike. The OP is thinking it over.

Fuji 2.0 is better spec'd for the same price. Get that.
Forget the used Trek.
*sorry, didn't realize it was sized out of stock
3.0 is still a good deal. I would buy new- PBK is good with after sale support.
You can upgrade with used Ultegra or DA later- there's a lot of people that sell it cheap, especially since things are moving to 11spd.
you can look at other bikes in PBK's stock like Scattane or Diamondback
Also calling your local PBK to check their stock might help too.
