Cycling apps with offline maps and/or route display.

I ahve used MapMyRide to plan out my ride but I want to be able to use the map (It is a GPX file export) offline. What apps can allow me to view the map, streets and all, without any sort of data connection while on the ride?

You can always just print the map.

mapdroid for android devices. It is not a very intuitive app, but gets the job done, and is free !

Im curious about this also, I've been using iRunner on my iPhone. It works great but it burns up a lot of Internet. Im only allowed to use 2 gigs a month with my phone. So I can't use my phone eveytime I ride.

Before I got a GPS for this kind of thing, I brought a paper fold-up map when I needed one. If I had a pre-planned ride that I wanted to stick to (as opposed to "I'll go to Tacoma and see where the roads take me.") I'd print a list of turns I needed to make.

What phone?

Motion X GPS will do what you want (on an iPhone; not sure if there's an Android version.)

Roadbike Pro by Runtastic. You can download offline maps and reduce usage of battery considerably.

I've just tried out RoadBike Pro by Runtastic. I like it quite a bit. Thanks for the suggestion Miegomayra.
