Please help me identify this Cannondale
 

First of all, I've been to vintagecannondale.com

Each of the chain-stays has a number etched onto the bottom. Here are the numbers:

65608913967 and B1-0302

If I am interpreting the serial #s correctly, based on the website, the bike is 56cm made on 08/1991 with a 126mm drop-out spacing, but what does the B1-0302 number represent and exactly which model is it? Looking in the 1991 catalog, I can't seem to figure out which model it is. Mine is bare aluminum with the logos (perhaps someone could have possibly stripped the paint).

The bike has a shimano full size chain-ring (not sure which model), "shimano 600" front derailleur, shimano xt rear derailleur, suntour downtube shifters, the brakes don't have labels, but no quick releases. I've had the bike for over 10 years, purchased used and I'm going to sell it, but first I need more info on which model it is, etc. Any help would be awesome.

Mid 80s according to the cantilevered dropouts. Kitbashed as a mofo, so good luck finding the exact model.

It's like a mutt of a bike isn't it. MBT saddle, the tires off of my CAAD10, pedals off of a walmart kids bike, not sure where the mavics came from. I have no idea if the handlebars are stock (they are insanely narrow for me).

although the brake levers are uncharacteristic for the time period the bars might be stock, really narrow bars are common of that era.

Maybe its a r series. 2.something series. It definitely is a cannondale, I dont know what exactly.

I think you are bang on with the date...The rear replaceable hanger is 91 or newer, low r series if the fork is original...

Probably a 2.8 crit frame, replaced fork ?, cheapo brake levers, mish mash parts. Just sell as-is, no specific model.

Any suggestion on a selling price for craigslist?

Ask $300 and take anything close to that.

Looks like a stripped down R400 type frame, whatever basic frame. I don't recall the frame ever having a fork like that which means the original fork probably broke which means the bike was crashed hard early on. It may have come bare but I don't remember. It'll be in the catalogs if it did.

It's a "road" frame - the crit frames had a fat down tube, the "road" frames had a narrow one that was basically the same size as the top tube. I had both at some point. I don't have a picture of the road frame handy. I don't remember the 2.8 coming in a non-cone shaped downtube so it may be a 3.0. The crit style frame has a much wider down tube:

Definitely a mutt bike. Basically someone got a bunch of parts from the "junk/take-off bin" in a bike shop (or similar), assembled them, and made a bike.

It's probably r200-300 because the down tube is too narrow to be a r400
