Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If it works (as claimed) it's a decent deal. Looks very heavy.

Looks like a decent deal. Centurion was a respected make. Looks like it has Suntour barcon shifters. A pair of those in good shape usually goes for between $30 and $50 on Ebay.

Well, sure. But that looks more like a 70's touring bike as compared to say an 80's racer (which Centurion also made).

I'm just looking for a project bike and a back up bike for when my bike is in the shop or I just want to ride down to the store

In both cases, what are you hoping to gain by "fixing them up and selling them"? Hopefully experience and fun as it would be more profitable and less time consuming to knock on doors and ask homeowners if you can mow their lawns for $5/hour.
