Camping south of Grand Haven, MI on the shores of Lake Michigan...will get a couple rides in, one of my 20 mile routes and maybe the 34 mile round trip to Holland, MI and back to the campground
Very smooth roads with views of the lake and beautiful lake front homes.

RR and Crit for me. Looking forward to it with some trepidation, being a flatlander, long climbs and altitude will be a challenge....

What cat? I'm women's b 40-49

I plan to drive out to our local mountains, climb a bit with some friends, then stop on the way home for burritos and beers.

brandon98 05-24-13 03:48 PM

I'm going to do 35-40 miles Saturday. Sunday, I'm putting on the Class A's and spending some time at a local National Cemetery with those who are no longer with us. I may then go for another ride Sunday afternoon to clear my head. It's not about barbecues and sales on appliances.

caloso 05-24-13 04:09 PM

Saturday: Folsom Crit. Will probably race twice.
Sunday: Ride to church, maybe an easy spin around the park with the kids.
Monday: 2 hours z2 with intermittent sprints.

Buzzatronic 05-24-13 07:11 PM

50+ mile ride around Lake Washington.

well, since I FINALLY got my replacement chain on the other day and weather has been pretty sucky (and looks to be continuing sucky this weekend) I'm going for about a 35ish miler, my longest single mileage ride to date. my commuting partner and I are meeting up along the route, he'll have a few extra miles over me, but that's ok I reckon, I can take the long way back if I wanna make it up. really lookin forward to it as it'll be my first long ride since the chain replacement and he's letting me borrow a Romin saddle to try out, says if I like I can keep, YEAH!!

freaking weather ruined my weekend, absolute crap each day.

I went to the beach solo - http://connect.garmin.com/activity/317937084
130 miles at a good pace!
Crashed hard at mile 45 due to crosswind. Bike is ok and I guess so am I, other then some nasty road rash, ripped clothing, and a stiff neck after hitting my head.

Couldn't get into Men's B 50-59 due to website issues and demand on the first day they open registration, so they put me in C open. Was hoping to get under 3 hrs but just missed it at 3:03. I was in B for the Crit, which was very fast, it was a technical course with the two short climbs and the downhill corners. Great weekend.

valygrl 05-29-13 10:49 AM

Nice time on the RR, I was 3:17 which was good for 10th in my field.
The crit was very technical, for sure, with a lot of bad pavement, and it would have been nice if they had swept the 2nd uphill. I got gapped off the lead group when pedestrians walked out into the street in the middle of my race and I picked the wrong way to go around them. Doh!
Did ok in the TT, I really like that course.

Elduderino2412 05-29-13 11:18 AM

I went barhopping on my boat this weekend. I drank enough to kill a horse, so needless to say i didn't log any miles on my bike.

waitforme 05-29-13 02:38 PM

Thanks, 3:17 and 10th is awesome, didn't do the TT but rode most of the course after the Crit, very pretty, hopefully you saved something for the ending climb..... Yes the gravel on the outside of the second uphill turn was interesting. The long crack on short section of Main was tricky, two riders went down on the first lap of our race because of it. I will definitely be back next year.
