What would you replace on my bike?
Well, we have all kinds of bike picture threads...how about a "what would you replace?" one. Thought this could be similar to the Hot r Not thread...only moreso for the "not" bikes. Also, in the process of critiquing, it'd be helpful if brands/models were listed for easy googling and researching. Let's go!
I'll start as mine is definitely not ready for hot or not.
This is my first road bike in over 15 years (after not riding in just as long of time). In time the whole bike will be replaced, but for now, I want to waste my money on upgrades.

Shoes or pedals...I will never give up my shoes!!!

For me the blue looks off, maybe because there is no blue anywhere on the frame. But not bad really.

I like your approach OP, I don't think your bike, or shoes, for that matter are very far off from hot. You just do your thing and waste that money.

When trying to match colors, they need to match exactly. If they dont match, it makes them look REALLY off. I would personally go with a black seatpost, black stem and black black lizard skin bartape and rotate bars down a little bit. (might be the picture, but your bars look tilted up a little bit)

I'd slam that stem, trim the steer tube, wrap the bars black or white to match the saddle, get a hot set of race wheels and call it HOT
I actually like that frame quite a lot aesthetically. Thought, I haven't ridden one. Those skinny seat stays scream sex appeal to me for some reason.

unfortunately, this thread wont last very long. The impression from the title is what would we replace on YOUR bike. nobody else will post their bike in this thread because it is titled wrong.

The blue bar tape, it doesn't match anything on the bike and just sticks out like a sore thumb. Either all white tape or do a black or dark gray (can't tell on the monitor if the bike is gray or black) and white strip by using two tapes, one black (or gray) one white, and overlay them as you wrap to get the stripe effect; this would match the black (or gray) and white theme of the frame and saddle.

Unless Im misunderstanding the point of this thread from the OP, people posting their bikes in here are not going to be looking for a hot r not. They are looking how to better improve the aesthetics with still keeping form to what they currently have. The Hot R Not will be separately left to be judgmental and ALL about looks no matter how it works for your condition or not. No need to flip your stem, drop your spacers and lift your seatpost a foot just for a picture and then put it all back to the way you had it in this thread!

Nothing wrong with the bike as is (aside from that gaudy tape!) but if you wanna spend money, the seat post and stem look off. You could get something more consistent with the rest of the frame. I'd also go with a -10 stem, I think that's the sweet spot on modern looking frames.
That crank is kind of fugly too.
Honestly, if you want to spend money, get a power meter and a garmin to track it.

This was my craigslist posting. I think I'll keep this one and sell my steel beater instead. When I buy the carbon bike, I'll swap the 10 spd wheels on this one for training. Saddle has been replaced by a selle italia sl. And I'm planning on getting a 42 compact handlebar. The spd pedals are gone, and I'm going to get a pair of rigid platform shoes/pedals for it. This will be my everything minus racing bike. If I had the funds, I'd replace the triple.
Oh, and I'm going to throw out the POS tires that gave me 5 pinch flats today.
