Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My god, Cervelo knows how to build ugly bikes. But they ride like a dream. And you don't have to look at it while you're riding the thing.

2002 Cervelo Prodigy. No longer a complete bike. Now the frame/fork just sit in my garage waiting to see the light of day once more.

Slightly off topic, but can anyone point me to a link where I can find the weights of the various model cervelos? I fell in love with the 2014 r5 and ordered one, just curious it's weight compared to my roubaix.

Why bother, they all look alike and they are all hideous to look at. Fugly is the word that comes to mind.

Do a search on weight weenies as well as the Cervelo forum itself. The weights are posted there in various threads. The R5's weight is a little higher than I thought until I saw it's more aero than the prior R5.

It's the end of the month, each month this time my jerk titers rise to dangerous levels. Must have something to do with turning 60, or maybe just a little dementia setting in. It's a mystery.

I happened to come across something with weight mentioned. It should be around 760 grams. Many people think the 2014 R5 is the same as the 2013 VWD.

Huh? I love how they look! Especially the S5, but I had to go with the more affordable S2.
