For the bicycle honor, one had to do a 50 mile ride. We did a 5-mile out-and-back ten times, as I recall. A legacy was born.

I got honors in cats, seeds, candle making, track and field, orienteering, among other things.

If it was a fake scout club were those fake honors?

Admittedly crappy shot of the Verrazano Bridge, a major NY thoroughfare connecting Brooklyn to the mainland, or at least closer to the mainland. I just haven't gotten around to getting a better shot. It's a really huge bridge, the longest suspension bridge in the world at one time. And once you pass under this bridge, you're headed out into the big "A" pond . . . next stop, Europe.

I'm sure WhyFi has a bunch of good shots of this.

Nice.

I guess I'm starting to become desensitized about stuff like this. Hopefully they have insurance.

I went to the farmers market and bought a watermelon.

Excellent.

Dannihilator 06-13-13 07:11 PM

Didn't get rained on today.

So you were well prepared for your office park time trial.

Not hard to get that way when this stuff happens way to often.

I'm glad I didn't get rained on, it came down in barrels in stead of buckets when it did today. Didn't get the storms/destructive winds/large hail though at least.

There was no way to avoid getting rained on today. I hear we've had 11+ inches of rain since June started here in the northeast.

Yeah they were talking some really serious stuff this morning.

I like that picture, WF, what with the fog and all.

Skipped the rain ride. I got soggy enough walking Benson.

I wouldn't be surprised if it fell under an "Act of God."

Real honors for the fake club.

RollCNY 06-13-13 07:45 PM

My brother is on a 10 day motorcycle trip to Yellowstone. I would imagine that he is encountering some inclement weather.

RollCNY 06-13-13 07:47 PM

Oh, and I ran Tues, in the rain, with my 13 yr old dog. Running is still dumb. I like to double check that a few times per year.

Might need to ready the garden hoses.
