3M 2242 under handlebar tape
Has anyone used this Ethylene Propylene Rubber tape under their handlebar tape for added shock absorption? It has enough tack to keep the wrapped handlebar tape from slipping.
sold at Lowes/Home depot and: http://branfordbike.com/product/le-t...t-tape-813.htm |
I use the Fi:zi'k Bar gel. It's really awesome.

I wrapped old tape on the handlebars (on the top bar portion) before adding the new tape. Works great.

That stuff can be very hard to remove!
A new layer of tape over the old tape works fine. |
Lowes sells it for $3.95 and it does not have an adhesive backing. It sticks to itself. I'm looking at using it to contain the cable housing under the new layer of handlebar tape (instead of electrical tape)
