Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's breezy and partly over cast. A perfect day to be riding, instead of waiting for a lift

Wait, did the left crankarm fall out, or the pedal fall off it? Just curious.

Sram red on my other principal ride. Was cranking out about 1200 watts on a very short steep rise when I thought I was going to step through the road.

Weak excuse. A more hardened rider would have finished with one leg! ; - )

Apologize in advance for thread jack....on this charity ride I do every year with wounded warriors, there's one guy with a fused knee...pedals 100+ miles one-legged with the non-working leg clipped into a pedal where the crank doesn't rotate...just saying...
