General Thanks to the Mods of the 41
This may get ditched or moved, but I wanted to thank all of the moderators for the job that they do. In an otherwise thankless excursion, thank you.
Thank you for not yellow carding me when I have clearly deserved it. Thank you for the light hand you allow on the distraction threads. As pointless and trollish as they are, I appreciate your discretion in allowing them to run their course. Thank you for the subtle steering that you provide in threads, almost always giving a gentle nudge rather than a swift kick. Thank you for allowing some threads that have a chance of providing some value to somebody somewhere to eek out an existence until the filth outweighs the value. And most importantly, thank you for contributing your experience as members, and not just the law. In my experience, you are all seasoned cyclists with well thought out positions on a wide range of topics. I am thankful that all of you take a turn in the paceline, and don't just follow in the judges car. That is all. |
hopeless suck up.

It takes a special kind of stupid to be a mod at BF. Just saying.

Yeah, cause moderating a fredfest/weight-weenie/bike expert palooza is soooooo hard....Now go polish the speedplays...
|
I give this thread a 7. Decent lyrics, but you can't dance to it.

It's like your skill should be on par with your bike not your cash on hand kind of thing. This is no mensa forum :D |

Aside from the unmistakable derision that accompanies every thread on 41 :), I agree with Roll. The make up of mod's on BF has never been better.
Why? Because the current mix of mods are smart enough to give members some slack for speaking out and not watering down the board into a PC waste of time. In years past, members were banned for ridiculously small indiscretions. Many of my favorite members were banned in fact. They were the smartest guys about cycling that some previous mods didn't have a clue to separate from others that don't add value to the forum and just troll. |
I appreciate the appreciation and the appreciators.
To the others, you're now on the list. :notamused:  Just kidding! . . . for now! |
