I never coast, seeing no use

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I never coast, seeing no use

Pretty new to cycling so bear with me. Whenever I climb a hill, I really see no use in coasting down it. I always pedal non stop. I just feel like coasting if only beneficial in races to save energy but when training, no energy really needs to be saved. coasting is great when cornering or something but I am talking about once you climb a small 200ft road hill or something and there are still roads continuing. plus pedaling downhill is good practice

Some funny posts for sure. But I totally agree. No coasting. Ever.

But do you coast when you piss? Cause if you pedal and piss at the same time, that is awesome.

The hardest part of that ride is on the way down. Nothing terribly difficult about the ride up at that pace.
