Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Lance Not Banned From RAGBRAI

He's certainly got some guts to come back and rub shoulders with some people who might not be so happy to see him: https://www.desmoinesregister.com/art...e&sf14601664=1

I’m well aware my presence is not an easy topic, and so I encourage people if they want to give a high five, great. If you want to shoot me the bird, that’s OK, too.
If this doesn't boost rider participation, nothing will.

This is the perfect topic for the 41. There's nothing #41ier than #RAGBRAI .

I thought RAGBRAI was over subscribed anyway? It does sound like a fun event to do. Ride a bit and eat lots.

Not according to RAGBRAI

RAGBRAI is a bicycle ride, not a race. It started in 1973 as a six-day ride across the state of Iowa by two Des Moines Register columnists who invited a few friends along. It is held the last full week in July.

How dare he! Is LA even allowed to ride a bike with his electronic ankle handcuffs? This just isn't fair to the rest of us who competed for so many years....

RAGBRAI sounds like fun, but this one has a better name https://www.fanyride.com/.

Take a look for yourself. It a massive event with riders pretty much starting when they like. I spoke to a person who rode it last year -- pretty much a free-for-all fun ride.

By eat lots, do you mean drink scotch and lie?
