Does S-Works Frame Come with Bearings?

Hi guys

Just ordered this frame: http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bik...l4osbbframeset

Do you know if the Specialized frames come with the press-fit bearings and cups? Thanks!

According to the specs page, it comes with ceramic BB bearings. I would be surprised if they are not installed at the factory.

I bought my Roubaix SL2 as a module (frameset + crankset), and the headset/bb bearings were installed.

Humm, this is how it came. I am assuming they forgot to put the cups in the box?

Probably a stupid question, but did you order it from Specialized, or buy it from someone else?

Got it from Eriks Bike shop (authorized spec dealer in Minnesota). Link: http://www.eriksbikeshop.com/2012-Ta...C11294/Product

They had removed the frame from the box to palce in their parts dept show room. It was sold as a full frame. I guess I just need to know how hard to challenge them if they say they dont have/lost the cups/bearings.

Did it come with the headset? It can sometimes depend how it was ordered as well, for example if it's done through a warranty claim (even though you may not have known they were going to do it that way), then it would come without bearings, cups.

It did come with a headset and seatpost. They do normally stock some frames like this for random people like me who need a new one but have the other components. I did not get the impression this was a one-off.

yeah if it came with headset pre-installed, and seatpost, it would appear from the spec sheet that they missed the BB. A ceramic press fit can add up some $ so I think it would be worth inquiring of your shop, could easily be that they missed it somehow if they're frames ordinarily have factory installed BB's.

Thanks guys! All the spec sheet/pics on the site show them installed. They must have stored them somewhere, I will follow-up and see if they can track em down. Those bearing sets are around $200+ I think :(

Nah, even a ceramic set will be less than half that much. I'm sure they'll dig them up in any case and send them to you.
