Any gay pro riders in Tour de France?

A might bewildered...
For the record, I'm bi. I ride both a bent and a DF. Not at the same time, silly.
If I were a woman or a gay male, I would have the hots for Fabian Cancellara. If I could get a body transplant from anyone, it would be him.

I was curious as to how many, if any, gay (open or closeted) riders were in this year's TdF. Not that it matters, but with a handful of pro athletes in other sports coming out in recent years, I've never read or heard about a pro cyclist coming out or rumored to be gay/lesbian.
Now, just to be clear, this question in no way relates to my own sexual preferences, not that there's anything wrong with that
but I was curious if there is diversity in the biking world.
A related question: Do you personally know a gay/lesbian cyclist? I haven't come across one yet. Everyone in the Forum seems to be a single or a happily married hetero.
Cheers!

As for gay cyclists, I'm not aware that any cyclists I know personally are gay (it's not something I tend to ask people, because it makes no difference to me), but use another forum where two of the female members are reasonably open about being in a relationship with each other.

Is this the one that kills the thread?
So anyway, this is a good question, and sort of a dumb question. People ride bikes, so it would figure that some of them would be gay. Or straight.
Some of my gay and lesbian friends/acquaintances ride bikes. Some seriously in spandex, some casually in cut-offs.
I think it would be a good thing if someone were to come out in the Peloton. Is there some sort of code of silence about *****exuality in professional cycling? Is it homophobia? Or is the Pro Roadie Class just so evolved that it doesn't mean anything?

Have we not yet figured out that a peloton full of cheating dopers are not good role models?

I know a few openly gay cyclists and racers. The street/hipster/fixie crowd around here is full of them too, you'd probably get a ton of positive answers if you asked this on the fixed gear forum.

Important... ? No. Interesting... Perhaps. But as you say, in the greater scheme of things it scarcely matters

Ask a group of cyclist if there are any gay cyclist and they will probably say no. Ask anyone from the NFL if there are any gay cyclist and you will probably get a different answer.

Funny story, years ago I was reading a local bicycle publication that listed clubs in the area. I saw that among them was a gay, lesbian club. Well the next day I was out on my bike and saw a pack of 30 or more riders all wearing matching pink jerseys and thought that this was them. Turns out it was Lightning Velo and not the gay club.
